Twitter is big mad about it.

Hopefully they don't find out the last ones were about labor rights, feminism, and weed in space.

The franchise was literally built on the theme of labor exploitation. The evil android is capitalism personified and the alien is the unchecked result of allowing exploitation to run rampant. It benefits nobody and the only hope the sliver of us who might survive have is if we work together to stop it. But yeah wouldn't want that to become political.

Noah Hawley's pretty good, wish he'd get to do a show that wasn't horribly tied to some IP but Fargo did a decent job being it's own thing.

I really liked the conclusion of Legion, and I get disappointed by show endings all the time. The last season started off bad plot-wise, but I love the trippy stuff so I still enjoyed it.

yeah there was an aliens redemption or repentence or something like that I think. Also there's aliens covenant and isolation for games.

Also there's Alien vs Predator and Alien vs Predator 2, but it's understandable that nobody wants to remember these.

The Alien franchise has famously never been political when it comes to exploitative and greedy corporations

The solution, of course, will be to make friends with the alien and let your elected officials open a dialogue with it. :liberalism:

I dunno, I think Weyland Yutani is a good vehicle for criticizing capitalism. Alien is a series that's always been about patriarchy and capital.

The first one is literally dick creatures attacking a woman who defends herself with violence. The second one is about terrible labor practices leading to preventable mass death and women being used by capitalists to incubate aliens for profit.

In the french one the government secretly sold weeed to fund their off the book activites. I don't remember if that was in the thatrical cut or the directors cut though.

Ahead of its time politics wise. When did it come out.. early 00s yeah?

First two Alien movies are among my all time favourites, it just seems like no two people have the same idea about what to do with it after that.
