Weird, I don’t think I can just change my beliefs and ideology on the spot like that.

    Wtf is wrong with liberals?

They're not actually going to change. They're using pushback against liberalism as an excuse for continuing to be a liberal.

Like when conservatives say "I used to be liberal but then LGBT folks made me right-wing".

On some level, their worldview is being challenged so they retreat back into what they already believed as a defense.

My two favorite candidates are Elizabeth Warren and Tulsi Gabbard, and you've alienated me from your movement.

They don't exist in the same reality we do, their material conditions put them on the side of capital by default usually so they just have to decide if they ever want to go full class traitor or remain reserve reactionaries.

They have the liberty to adopt ideology an a trendy aesthetic rather than an advocacy for their own survival.

Listen, I'm fine with Leftism, just so long as it doesn't contradict anything a State Department official on cable news tells me.

Well, I might disagree with your views, but I will get completely cucked online to defend your right to have them. I hope we can still be wage slaves undercutting each other's position together, and I look forward to struggling to lick boot by your side.

Oh yeah I’m sure all these people started by reading theory but gave up because of Twitter larpers. Sounds like how reactionaries normally work. This postleft shit is obnoxious

It sounds exactly like chuds who say they were pushed further right by seeing pronouns in someone's bio.

I was going to vote for John Kerry, but then Jon Stewart hurt John McCain's feelings so now I'm going to vote for Michael Badnarik instead.

        Your loss, Leftists.

Tbh the name "Michael" is a little too exotic/radical for me. I'd prefer to find another 'John' or 'Jon' candidate to maintain some consistency in this narrative.

Instead, I'll continue to believe blatant state propaganda, supporting Jihadists in Syria, preserving the right of fascists to organize in the open and hold to the belief that the fall of the Soviet Union was a good thing despite 30 years of demographic, economic, and political data telling me otherwise

I'm a very smart liberal who just wants the best for everyone :hillary:

If a person was going to open up and be more critical about liberalism, why would they be so terrified that other stuff they're conditioned to accept might also not be true?

I definitely understand not shaking every belief all at once, the whole process is gradual. Still, there isn't much to be done but be honest and try to provide new people with useful info that will move them the rest of the way.
