Am I the only noticing a general resurgence in doomism, a deflated / frustrated sort of helplessness around fossil fuels and climate? I *really* get why these feelings are hitting hard but I'm telling you folks: the fossil fuel industry is more vulnerable than it ever has been

The natural conclusion of both beliefs, either that climate change isn't real or that we can't do anything about it, is to not do anything about it.

    "We can't do anything about climate" and "we're already locked into climate apocalypse" are horseshit lies that are contradicted both by climate science and human history. It is objectively false and only serves to further fossil fuel extractors' goals.

    We can win.
