This is actually a thing that works sometimes as long as the price isn't too prohibitive, sometimes you get situations where maybe you want to give old furniture away or something but if you list it for free no one wants it they assume there's an issue, if you sell for 20 bucks all of a sudden they're at your door wanting it. I don't think vaccination works the same way here but it's not without some form of precedent.
