and yes, biden has literally and repeatedly said he is going to "cure" not only cancer, but also alzheimer's and diabetes (ironically, as the second article I linked shows, cuba has also developed a drug to treat diabetic foot ulcers)

If I was watching a movie or something and a politician promised to cure cancer I would think that it was lazy writing to make a point about how politicians make wild promises to get elected.

President Biden: "We need a strong cancer. We will work with cancer to reach a bipartisan compromise on a cure." cancer doesn't return his calls "Oh well then, can't say I didn't try though"
