Breaking bad is a show about a cool dude and the good things that happen to him and his family because of how cool he is.

Breaking bad is a show about how women prevent dudes from being cool.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Gus saying that to Walter White specifically to manipulate him because he knows that Walter is such an egotistical maniac that prodding his sensitive masculinity will get him to do what Gus wants?

I love how chuds can't even actually imagine a life they'll enjoy. They'll just have a wife and kids because they're supposed to and take care of them because that's what "a man" does and die tired and alienated. They won't even do their best for the kids or the wife, they work hard and waste that energy on themselves anyway. If your just going to bully your wife into marrying you, berate your kids into being carbon-copies of yourself while hating them, and feel awful after working yourself to death for them, why do any of it?

Worships Teddy Roosevelt without even realizing he was a racist (even for his day) warmongering P.O.S.

Let's be real, that'd only make them like him more.

Reminds me of the green text about a guy who tried to ignore bullying and said he was a stoic, and it was revelaed he didn;t know how to pronounce stoic and was bullied harder.

They took the stoic idea of "take it on the chin" and ended up with "just look for more pain to endure for bragging rights." It's very stupid and I wish I didn't act like that sometimes.

Yes, that opening episode image of an out of shape, middle aged Bryan Cranston wearing nothing but tighty Walter Whitey nut huggers in the desert, trying and failing to kill himself is the essence of masculine 'in control" energy.

What are you talking about? The point of Breaking Bad is that dudes should do whatever the hell they want and w*men are only there to hold them back. Just like the point of American Psycho is that you can get anything you want in life if you're a cool guy and are confident, and the point of Taxi Driver is that society wants men to be weak but you can show them who's boss by shooting people. I think he understood perfectly.

I think we could compile a list of this dude's top 10 films:

      American Psycho

      Taxi Driver

      Fight Club

      Starship Troopers

      Robocop

      First Blood

      Natural Born Killers

      Wolf of Wall Street

      Scarface/Good Fellas tie

No, Starship Troopers wasn't as good as the book, because it didn't have powered armor and because its messaging wasn't entirely in the form of the protagonist being lectured by his superiors.

and also starship troopers the movie wasn't a direct allegory about how good fascism is unlike the book

This is what happens when you shit on literature and media analysis. You only see the text and not the nuance.
