I've been watching Adam slap down these inside-baseball obsessed 'outsider journalists' since his days in early Gawker comment sections. Man's a stone cold champ.

I can't find it right now but there's a great quote about how revolutionaries can never tire of patiently explaining things to the masses. Our job is to educate the masses and make them aware of their own power, thus Adam can be seen as an excellent example of the perseverance and patience necessary to do the job well.

:tromp: Failing CNN folks, the ratings are bad! The worst they've ever been. People are saying it's because they were so mean to me! SAD!

Glenn's just slapping his views on statistics with no actual further substantiation of it. Maybe people are watching less news because they're tired of liberal bias or whatever peabrained notion he thinks he's getting at. Or maybe people are watching less news because everything's pretty much as depressing as the last year of Trump, but now there's an administration in that's committed to being fucking boring about it. You can make any argument you want out of what he's presented.

Glenn is obviously just a media guy who once the libs drove him out because of his coverage of Snowden, pivoted to the other side of the media establishment. He's got a Peter Thiel funded media company for God's sake, I really don't know why people are so puzzled by his recent actions.

Still good work on Brazil though last time I checked.

Really curious what he's going to do when Tucker pivots to talking about the Brazil Elections and Glenn has to swallow his tongue while Tucker talks up Bolsonaro to his face.

Glenn Greenwald would do anything to be on TV again after he fucked up his Intercept gig by trying to pass off Trump press releases as journalism. So he will absolutely nod along with Carlson.

His heydays were in the late aughts when he had provocative bylines in Salon every other day which got him invited on as a commentator on MSNBC and CNN. That is all he cares about, the limelight.

Going to dunk on the ideological character of the Bravo Network because it only gets 50,000 views for its top-rated episodes. But people are still making shit-tons of money off it so nobody cares.

Going to laud the virtues of HBO's Final Season of Game of Thrones using the same reasoning.

The only thing I remember from my young teenage days watching Fox News was Bill O'Reilly never shutting the fuck up about Keith Olbermann's ratings, so it's nice to see things haven't changed at all.

If I remember correctly - Greenwald was doing this cable news rating shtick a month or so ago too. How often does he do it?
