US millennial women saw their well-being decline, a first in modern times, per non-profit PRB.

Homicide, maternal mortality, and suicide rates have all increased for women aged 25 to 34.

The sudden reversal in progress for young women's safety comes despite an improved economic status.

Contributing factors to the overall rise included the COVID-19 pandemic, which increased domestic violence rates, and a recent leap in gun violence incidents, the report also said.

Homicide is now also the leading cause of death for pregnant and postnatal women, more so than typical maternal mortality causes, the report noted.

People are gonna read “homicide and suicide up” and still blame vaccines for this.

Edit: murder and suicide up in pregnant women right when abortion becomes illegal…. 🤔

The US is falling back into the Gilded Age while also taking the life expectancies and societal structure from the mid 1800's. They're more committed to historical accuracy than a Renaissance festival.

Is this worse than men of the same age range? Cause usually you hear about men having worse life expectancy, etc and the article doesn't compare the two.

Because the study they’re writing about only pertains to women.

The article isn’t really about men because it’s implying the reason women’s mortality is getting worse is because of a combination of Covid and also dudes killing their wives/girlfriends when they get pregnant since they can’t get an abortion anymore. There’s not really a male equivalent to compare it to.

Normies WILL defend this over abortion.

I wasn’t saying it should be about men. “Women in 20s and 30s more likely to die than any generation since wwii” surprised me since usually men have the worst life expectancy prospects. A quick reading didn’t clear up for me if this was any generation, or any generation [of women]. Though as someone pointed out I missed where they said the report is only dealing with women.

But millennial women also are faring better in the economy The decline in safety among millennial women comes despite their improved financial and education status compared to generations before. At least 43.6% of young millennial women in the US have graduated college — a record level in modern history. That's compared to 28% of Gen X women and 22% of baby boomer women who graduated by the time they turned 34, the report said.

Omg, shut the fuck up! There’s literally no bright side to dying.

And like, what good is that increased education rate if education's value has gone down the shitter? Now even having a master's is just considered the bare minimum to enter the workforce? Hell, why are boomers allergic to admitting that millennials are fucking poor, and it's all because they ate up the good stuff before millennials were even born?
