I was shidding and had a true revelation: islands are fucking CURSED. Take a look at my evidence...
Britain: possibly the most cursed island to ever exist. The birthplace of capitalism, the british empire, shitty food, blairites, created its mutated offspring the Usa, australia, canada, hong kong, etc etc etc
Rapa Nui: extremely cursed shit happened here even before eur*peans arrived and then it REALLY got fucked after that
Little St. James: I don't need to explain this one do i?
Japan: ww2, anime, getting nuked, just generally very cursed
Australia: demon child of the british empire, genocide, wannabe usa
Haiti: a never ending tragedy
New York City: trash island made of literal trash

Relatively small island territories predispose either non-developed productive forces or naval power, which meet each other in colonialism :very-smart:
:galaxy-brain: <--- you except in the good way not the bad way
Idk pre revolution cuba was pretty cursed and it makes me very sad to say but with the death throes of the empire and rising sea levels and intensifying and lengthening hurricane seasons I think cuba might be in for a rough time in the coming years
Counterpoint: Cuba is uniquely prepared to continue to exist in a collapsing global order, die in part to the way they've structured themselves during the blockade. As long as they don't completely fall into the sea.

That's just Manhattan, but it's not otherwise inaccurate
Cuba, based island. Pretty much singlehandedly being the counterweight.
There's the one with the swimming pigs and it's apparently uninhabitated barring tourist (and I mean who doesn't want to see that) so probably also good
Lovely city to visit but I wouldn't wanna live or work there long term
The Earth is just a little island in a great dark nothingness.
The Americas aren't a single continent, only a single landmass, Australia is both.
everything's a more legitimate continent than Europe lol
In every model, yes
