Fentanyl is an incredibly potent opiate which has its application in extreme cases of pain relief. I once had an accident which was suspected to have fractured my spine, my central nervous system, however, was still intact. In order to prevent any sudden movements (e.g. any twitching from the extreme pain I was in), I was given a dose of fentanyl. However, in the US opioids are prescribed for everything because America, which in turn caused an epidemic of addiction. Since opioids are prescription only, many people resort to heroin, which is significantly less potent than fentanyl. But since fentanyl is a legal, prescription only drug, it is much cheaper, which leads to heroin often being laced with fentanyl. No go fucking figure what happens when people take a normal dose of heroin that has been laced with its much more potent cousin.
But since America is never responsible for any of its domestic fuckups, it must of course be CHYNA that causes all these overdoses by producing a medical product which is both legal and necessary in extreme cases.

That not how it works. There are only three real uses for poppy plants. Decoration, the seeds for cooking, and use as a drug.
