This kind of comment is what will evenetually turn me from a lib into a maoist.

Like, it's not the indifference towards suffering that some rich CEO might feel. They admit they derive pleasure from it.

Nope but the satisfaction from them calling 1-2 years from now begging to be allowed to make a payment on their balance that was sent to collections will be GREAT!

I sent a guy a 1099 after I wrote off an eviction loss. I always loved thinking about his next tax return.

Nope, why do you think they can’t afford a home?

Who cares…. They had months to prepare and there’s labor shortage nationwide.

They won’t care, they’ve been hoarding money and either a landlord will raise rents and evict tenants to accommodate them, or they have cash to buy a house.

Man I wonder why people living paycheck to paycheck aren't terribly concerned about how to invest money they don't have to maximize five-year returns

Oh shit I'm one of those "not thinking past my next paycheck" people.

Wonder why that is? Almost like I currently have no money and I have to worry about:

    Food

    Rent

    Utilities

    Gas

    Wifi

All coming out of my next paycheck. But hey I should probably invest the $20 I have after paying all that shit right? To think years in the future? Fuck off.

I'm reading "Outliers" right now, which makes the point that low-income people are more likely to defer to authority and hesitate to assert their rights and desires. Which makes sense, but I wanted to throw it across the room when the chapter suddenly ended, without the plainly obvious explanation that low-income people live by authority because authority won't hesitate to ruin anyone they can who fails to lick their boot for even a moment.

the maoist uprising against the landlords was the largest and most comprehensive proletarian revolution in history, and led to almost totally-equal redistribution of land among the peasantry

Every single landlord should be Truman Show'd into a reality where they're poor as dirt and have to live off a minimum wage. You huddle around every day to watch the highlights on TV.
