i hate this
if anything people compose, produce, mix and market their own music by themselves
led zeppelin was a rock band in the hey day of rock bands and was heavily marketed, had studio recordings, professional mix engineers and didn't even have to learn how to use production equipment if they didn't want to. how many engineers and marketers were involved in their work? now look at a bedroom producer trying to cut it in this industry, they're doing 100% of the labor alone.
They also ripped their sound and a bunch of lyrics / whole songs from lesser known black musicians
I used to believe this. I was a middle schooler so I at least had an excuse.
All my favorite guitarists were YouTubers from the late 2000s. Then there was a supernatural curse that forced them all to play Canon in D until they died.
dudes really think we just hit a button and ableton spits out a song lmao
Presses the song button 12 times
"Looks like we've got an album!" 😎
When I read the letter you wrote me, it made me mad, mad, mad
When I read the words that it told me, it made me sad, sad, sad
Ah yes, poetic music that truly speaks to the soul.
What the hell is this meme talking about? Led Zeppelin was all about fucking, leaving and/or being left by your romantic partner, and elves.
Jimmy Page is still alive. Like just go and look at the dude, he's not a myth
If today's music sucks.. that's because Capitalism commodified arts, it's becoming a product and it's losing it's core -- expression.
Look I like Led Zeppelin (it has to come on randomly for me to enjoy it, they are probably the boomer band I come back to least), but Page was honestly a very sloppy player. He was a pretty good record producer and made good riffs, but he's pretty overrated, along with the rest of them.
He's the guy who invented the double guitar as seen in the picture.
I'm pretty sure John McLaughlin was doing double necks before. Also if I could get one for cheap, I would totally get a double neck because why not?
