Because the message it sends to the worker is valuable: “your life means so little that even if a million of you die, you won’t see better wages or conditions. We will exploit your new poverty now — that’s the game.”
No, Liberals aren't allowed to connect the dots like that. Every individual problem exists in a vacuum. There is no such thing as cause and effect, much less repercussions for letting a million people die.
