He's going to make a $300 million star trek movie, and lock it in a vault for like a $15 coupon to the IRS gift store. Absolute business genius.

Roll paramount+ into max, refresh another 10 seasons of Lower Decks, and then hire some communist millennials who actually get Star Trek to kill Alex Kurtzman and write good star trek content and I'll be happy. You can torch everything else for all I care.

Oh, absolutely. This will go very poorly and only bad content (especially reality tv trash) will ever be produced. There will never be good Treats again until the revolution. Our jellyfin libraries will once again be nothing but stuff from 15+ years ago.

Hey. Paramounts rtv slate is good stuff not trash :( ok its trash but it isnt as low brow as Discovery stuff.

Though who knows maybe Survivor and TAR would get Discoveryfied

There is no such thing as good reality tv. Good and RTV are mutual exclusives. It's all lowest common denominator brainrot designed to appeal to the little lizard in your brain that loves being a dramatic binch and hating people. It's everything bad about capitalist culture distilled into its purest and most mind numbing form. Like twitter on tv.

But seriously, Survivor is a social experiment that at its highest highs can be incredibly interesting, gripping, and moving. And a lot, id argue most fans watch it as a psychological social experiment, or as a game/sport. Survivor isnt really made for the drama hogs. Its not the Kardashians.

Survivor doesnt target that side of me very much. I like Survivor for the game primarily. And for human psychology. Yes theres occasionally drama but Survivor (especially the recent seasons) are not really all that focused on "drama" like that. Theres a huge gap of difference between Survivor and Honey Boo Boo in terms of the things youre describing.

Judging by how the Discovery channel and TLC turned out, Survivor and TAR can definitely get Discoveryfied lol

Yeah. Honestly the recent seasons of Survivor are so overly sanitized and Disneyfied that it could use some adjustment but im def scared of the show going that direction. Would be worse than the sanitized Disneyfied stuff by a lot.

Also as i posted in my thread at least i can rest happy that my niche special interest, Survivor and other Paramount rtv, is safe under Zaslav because he likes rtv.

Wouldn't be the first time Paramount has done this. Probably won't last much longer than their merger with Lasky did.
