    I'm going to be the negative one here and say that the amount of it I've watched is hagiographical to the point of being ridiculous and attributes to Marx a very silly cookie cutter anime boy personality. Also, it seems like they've used almost all the scenes they animated on this trailer and the rest is clunky-looking CGI.

    I enjoyed it. It definitely simplifies things, but it's very fun to see Marx and Engels' friendship over the years as a backdrop to the development of their theories. There are some cool and genuinely touching moments, as well.

    Yes. It's a simplification of :animarx: :animengels: foundational socialist theory wrapped up in a simplified autobiography.

    It also serves as a glimpse into the often glossed over 19th century europe with its depictions of life for the aristocracy and the proletarii and how socialist thinkers were able to grow to the degree it did in such a historical context.
