Idk, if your political project is that fragile, maybe it isn't particularly good. This is trying to do the ur fascism thing of painting the opposition as simultaneously too strong and too weak thing, except in a single tweet, so it just comes off stupid.

I mean to the extent this can be read narrowly as "over what we have now", maybe... but yeah this person just thinks the hardest left are social democrats, and is a "rEd FaSh TaNkIe" moron

Leftism is when you quietly and politely wait for Capitalists to change their mind. Doing anything beyond that is Fascism.

BFF's with fascism in the name of Marxism

The amount of political illiteracy among the general population is staggering. Words have no meaning any more.

It's actually so bad sometimes I wonder if we're just weirdo elitists but then I read John Locke and I'm like "What the fuck this is literally just the USA" but people out here unironically think Biden is a Marxist

I see the BFF's with fascism get thrown around occasionally as some mystical, ill-defined red-brown alliance that...somehow has a lot of power and presence, yet is also a very loud fringe segment entirely populated by teenagers.

Also yes, most Americans have completely incoherent discrete political stances that have little connection with their daily experiences. I think that was the point. Politics can't be about your daily lives because most people would vote to arrest their bosses and landlords. Most Americans have no structured political identity at all and the ones who do largely do so out of a media aesthetic. We're the freaks because we're coherent and we've become brain-poisoned internet goobers as the price of entry.

    Most of us want

now if you'd just realize that the reason what people want doesn't happen has nothing to do with 1000 affluent kids

Contrapoints had a video where she identified a tendency among a certain set of trans YouTubers to spend way too much time and energy calling out "bad" trans people, because they get it into their heads that a) they're the reason transphobia exists, and b) by attacking them, they can position themself as "one of the good ones" and be accepted.

Replace trans with leftism and you get this tweet. "There's no systematic opposition to leftist ideas, the only reason we can't have nice things is because bad leftists give good leftists like me a bad name!"
