Yes, they do need to make a movie featuring a “brave Republic of China soldier fighting the Revolutionary Army” aka that RoC soldier bravely executing labor organizers, peasant leaders and any other suspected commie in Shanghai at 1927.

At this point, if the USSR were still around, I’d expect libs to want to idolize the White Army to own the commies. Maybe talk about how “Supreme Commander” Alexander Kolchak wanted to institute democracy and freedom and stuff before Lenin ruined everything. If only they had committed another pogrom or five, then they could have succeeded!

Imagine being so naive to think Hollywood would make a propaganda movie set in China and make an actual Chinese person the protagonist instead of some white dude.

They would probably do something like: "Normal, (ie. white bourgeois) family is living in China and everything is nice. The weather is sunny, their house beautiful and their garden lush and green. The Chinese servants are happy, noble and love their masters. Then the evil unwashed communists comes along. They speak very bad English and they look a bit more Chinese than the KMT Chinese who are basically good guys despite having their flaws (they are ethnic after all). The weather gets worse at this point. The communists are very rude and evil and tortures and/or kills some white people. At some point one of them shoots a puppy for no good reason. Then the badass white guy does Rambo shit on them, eventually bringing his family to safety in the capitalist civilised world."
