This does make one wonder about the future

You're going to hit a point where white America is going to see more and more minorities in positions of power in the Republican party, and even if this new Republican party is pushing for policies white America wants... far-right America will still mutter to itself, "do I want to be ruled by brown people?" And at that point you'll see some odd happenings

do the imbeciles in this picture know that this is what their base thinks of them?

The thing is, it isn't the whole base, 30% on a bad day maybe, but not the majority

If you're a Republican nominee you can't outright say "blacks are inferior" or "women belong in the kitchen" or "gays are removed" anymore, and it's going to only be five more years before you see practicing Muslims and transgender men and women on Fox News going on about how shitty Democrats are. As much as you want to say "don't you see, the white conservatives hate you," the fact of the matter is that rightist thought appeals to all races and they'll still experience racism from establishment Democrats anyways, it's easy arithmetic for them to make the choice

As long as these up-and-coming people serve capital and serve imperialism, they'll be welcomed

In Canada, the conservative party is running a large number of women, muslim, and non-white candidates.

Already there is the People's party (PPC) springing up to absorb that far right vote.

However, the conservative party's slogan this election is "Secure the Future", so I don't know how serious they are about alienating their white supremacist backers.

People tend to forget that some of the most successful fascist parties were in the 3rd world. Suharto and Pinochet were definitely not white (even if they were funded by white America)

I'm sorry but this is just fanciful and hopelessly optimistic, if one can even call it that, as well as pretty detached from the reality of where the US populace as a whole is heading. The reaction to BLM and the visibility of minorities in politics (mostly in the Democratic party) is producing a severe reaction, and there is little hope that Republicans are going to become 'diverse', you should check out the real numbers on that.

I have felt this backlash personally in my daily life, liberals are increasingly turning to fascism to solve their problems. Even the few exalted minorities in power serving capital will be ousted. Democrats will lose heavily and will blame the fact that they've been parading around minorities and using idpol for decades. Things will get really dire imo.

If BLM existed in the 80s as opposed to now, do you think reactions would have been more positive?
