2024 is a long time away and Americans can't remember a week ago

she knows that what matters is mostly establishment support

Broadly speaking that's true, but imo her biggest barrier isn't the broader voter base but the primary. More partisan voters have very long memories, if she takes the brunt of the blame for the Biden presidency not having significant legislative achievements it won't bode well for her election.

If a Progressive tries to primary her, there will be millions spent on "YOU CAN'T RUN A PROGRESSIVE IN ARIZONA" and all of the cuck Democrat base will make it a reality.

she's not up for re-election until 2024. Nothing she does now matters.

I think she's playing the girlboss bit as far as it will go, and fully understands how hard it is to primary a senator from the left.

can't wait to see Pelosi go all-in to prevent Sinema from getting primaried as a reward for trying to sink the entire party's agenda

Maybe in some fucked up monkeys paw way her past as an anarchist lets her realize the real powers in capital, so she’s racking up as many corporate good girl points to eventually leave office and join capital directly.

She used to run with anarchist crowd in AZ. But I don't know her past ideology leanings when reports came out that the stories about sleeping in a car with her mother were made up by herself so that she could appeal to left leaning people.

Being elected a senator is basically winning the lottery. You can do good things or you can become rich and create generational wealth. She's choosing to do the latter.

Sinema has clearly been offered something to be the spoiler, and it may well be "We'll make you reelected" from the DNC. After the failure of progressives to make more inroads once the party really started a crackdown they probably felt they can do this.

Tbf Arizona is a purple state that's pretty conservative. It doesn't take much to threaten her with losing her seat because she genuinely could lose it if she goes "too closely with the radical Left agenda of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer". Americans are dumb hogs, they'll eat it up if she stops being spoiler.

I think its more likely shes been offered a board seat or lobbyist position here or there, no?

I swear to fuck, stop obsessing over boring liberals. This "person" could be replaced by a literal sack of cash that sits there and does nothing and not a single thing in the entire world would be different.

I really hope she’s interested in getting reelected. If not - she’s going to fuck everything just because she can.

Most of the commenters in here seem to have forgotten that she only won her seat because she's someone who wasn't close to the Democrats, partisan and can work with the Republicans in her region. Threatening her doesn't make sense when being pro Democrat would be the reason why she would lose her reelection in the first place.

Probably true. The few who actually do hang it up and go do other stuff tend to be republicans.
