Do to unfortunate circumstances I have to leave my gamer chair yet again. Anyone have any ideas about what I should be doing here? Apparently the guy with the nipple piercings at the nude beachwill sell me mushrooms if he likes my vibe, so that is a start.

It seems like a pretty good place. There is a high rent part of thr island, I am avoiding that part, but othwrwise it seems nice.

I drove by a burnt out SUV a while back and the hospitality people have been too sure to emphasize we follow no tresspassing signs.

I don't think that last part is because it is simply unethical to vacation during a world ending plauge you know?

go up to the top of haleakala. bring a jacket. go surfing. etc. look at any of the million guide books about the place maybe? avoid the white hippies.

go look at the penguins at the resort where they walk around. go hiking at the Iao needle. go to the seven pools and camp out there at kipahulu and hike pipiwai to the big waterfall. hike up to the cross behind Hana and get guava from the cow fields full of guava trees. drive the back road to Hana. snorkel at honolua bay. walk across the lava fields from down near little beach out to kanaio beach on the kings path. hike the kings path from the black sand beach at waianapanpa state park to Hana. drive the west maui loop road. there is starting to be swell so go watch people surf and windsurf at ho'okipa from the cliffs, you should be able to see sea turtles and maybe monk seals too. if you have money snorkeling at molokini is supposed to be good. if you stay for a couple more months the water between maui and lanai will be full of whales that you can see breeching from the highway and everywhere. hamoa and koki beaches are nice. lahaina is nice if very touristy, the banyan tree is pretty. Kihei and Wailea are a hellscape of rich haole scum and villainy, but the beach park in town is nice. baldwin beach is pretty nice and good for bodysurfing sometimes.

oh but the best thing besides the haleakala crater is to go to the red sand beach in Hana. it's awesome. snorkel.

how long are you there for?

      Oh damn, effortpost.

I am here for about a week and a half. I am camping over at Olowalu. There is a nice church youth group here of some kind and they are sharing the guide book stuff with me so I have a headstart there. Last time I was here years ago it was all scumbags like me so the vibe was diffrent.

I accidentally ended up in kehei yeah, wasn’t a fan. Nice chow but I am not going back if I can help it. I did randomly see a doctor there that was my bosses boss kinda thing. So that was funny but fuck that noise. Good to see my surplus labor value is doing more or less what I’d do with it.

That’s some excellent advise comrade. I appreciate it. We will chek out it. I think they would be especially intrested in the cool beaches. Back home they just closed the beaches due to an oil spill. So it is nice to see what a better would could be here.

We just checked out the west forest area. Who names those trails? Flatly, nothing has ever sounded more threating to my safety as a person than the Magical Enchanted Forest trail. 100% that is where white people go to die in a cheezy horror film. Then just past that was the Acid War Zone trail. Then a village hidden in the mountians where a nice young man was smoking the dirtiest bong I had even seen. Whats the deal with those art galleries just past the farms? That some weird tax doge shit or is it actual art? It is weird being avel to tell that there is a intersting and varied history to this place.

The whole area was amazing beautiful. I was a bit taken back by the 70s power of the trail names. That is some of that hippie shit you were talking about though yeah? Does that mean there are a bunch of terrible anthropological student films coming out of the college? That would be rad to see if that exists. I think just on a psychic level my mind is colonized enough seeing that people live in something other than suburban hell is amazing

I see a posting for a tour to to have someone show you around to spear fish invasive species. That did sound pretty rad, but I dunno if they are doing it in the time of covid
