Step 1: Watch the apocalypse happen in real time and make memes about it

Step 2: Idk I'm working on it

This is not a place to organize nor do any kind of praxis, it's just a version of reddit especifically made to shitpost and share news and shit about left wing things without some Langley Virginia MF banning us.

Nobody will achieve anything just by listening to podcasts and browsing twitter, those are just entertainment, and that's what this place is for: entertainment.

Tho, after a lot of cryptic shitposts you end up learning a lot of cool weird shit about history and even philosophy, some might help you change your mind about some things. But again, the most praxis this place has ever done is provide links to donate to real life orgs and things.

So, if you wanna do real things, you gotta contact real people, good luck and stay safe from feds!

I know many find fulfillment working with local mutual aid whether that's Food Not Bombs, soup kitchens, or something else

The number one priority is probably the further development and interconnection of anticapitalist organizations. Things like tenant unions, labor unions, mutual aid networks, publications, translation of international anticapitalist news, etc. Anticapitalism in the US largely exists as a counterculture, and it will remain a counterculture until the foundation is laid to fundamentally alter the social relations in a specific time and space. That said, we can all help each other out to at least develop a better understanding of the events taking place in the world around us.

There're all kinds of people here, and to keep it cool we tacitly choose to point mostly the good things about current left-wing governments, from Zapatistas to China. The same for past left-wing govs from Spanish republicans to the USSR.

We all understand whatever form of human organization and historical process will have "bruh moments", and we discuss them without getting pissy. Saying "look, China's HSR is awesome" don't mean we are all cool with every single policy they have ever done.

Also we all agree in not supporting some historical figures that have shat the bed tremendously from the start, namely Pol "CIA-funds-enjoyer" Pot and Gonzalo "The baby boiler".

This "don't shit on current left wing governments" rule is not only because we don't want to fight, but also because 99,9% of users don't come from said places, so any "fight" is basically a slap fight of terminally online westoids.

Oh, and if you find "hate" against "Social Democrats" is because they aren't anticapitalist and history has showed that even them being good people leading successful governments, their good policies are easily reverted by capitalists (local or foreign) or they just collaborate with them against more radical left wing positions. Still, if you wanna play the capitalist democracy game and vote or campaing for them that's cool. Every yank here voted for Bernie.

No, that's a lie told by dumb Twitter "anarchist" types. The quickest summary I can think of to describe it is as well regulated capitalism that isn't a lie, with the ultimate goal being to get rid of capitalism all together.

The government is structured in such a way that capital can't assert any influence over it. The government truly controls capital, and not the other way around. To the extent that when the Chinese version of Jeff Bezos started making public comments about "showing the government its time for the entrepreneurs and market to take the lead" and trying to exert influence over the government, they arrested him, reeducated him, and forced him to retire.

Whenever something needs to be done but the bourgeois hate it and complain about it, they can just do it anyway because they are powerless to stop them. For instance, the lockdowns for covid, recent regulations raising the price of coal in an effort to phase out fossil fuels, the recent breakups of the large real estate companies.

The bourgeois in China is fully aware of the fact that they are a tool to improve society, and the moment they stray away from that too far and attract attention doing so, they can lose everything. So they act much tamer than they do elsewhere.

I would say you've basically arrived at it, trying to form an actual political project is the project. ie the people analyzing what the US left currently is, where it came from, why it doesn't do the things it says it does and then seeing what if anything can be salvaged into a coherent political project.

unions striking against vaccine requirements aren't as chuddy as the media wants to portray them, they've been striking because they're being forced to get a vaccine that may cause side effects (I for one felt like absolute sick dogshit for two days after my second shot) and the deal they were presented with didn't include PTO if the workers felt shitty. They're striking to be given the option to take time off if the shots their employer requires them to have makes them feel unwell for a day or two.
