:cat-trans: It's getting real spooky out there, I'm terrified that by the time I'm eligible to transition legally it will no longer be legal.

Yeah let me listen to a fucking 40 minute podcast of extremely online wonks (cis ones at that) picking the issue apart to find out if she's bad now.

Um or actually fuck no, why the fuck would I waste the limited time I have on this earth listening to clout chasing wonkcasts.

I refuse to acknowledge the implication that I find her tweet distasteful because she is black and not because of its use of terf shit as clickbait.

Reported for transphobic debate broing tbh

not liking Briahna’s gross baiting does not a racist make

you’ve already been reported a few times, and while I don’t ban for shit takes I will absolutely ban for transphobia, consider yourself warned

Wow, a sample size of two people that I'm calling wonks, because her podcast always mixes wonk rambling with online drama (deeply cursed all in all), is clearly enough to try to insinuate that someone criticizing her for JAQing off about trans peoples' right to exist is racially motivated. I'm not sure what your motive here is.

Fuck all the way off with this bad faith bullshit. Literally every person with some kind of national profile is a piece of shit because that is a prerequisite for having access to that kind of platform. There isn't a single black person in media that can be trusted because there isn't a single person in media that can be trusted period.

If there was a liberal obsession with black transpeople, the percentage of hate crimes against black trans people wouldn't be so damn high. If there was a liberal obsession with black trans people, then Dave Chappelle would know that black trans people exist; he clearly doesn't know since he joked that black men should start dressing like women so that """trans privilege""" will protect them from police brutality.

Chappelle's reasoning was that people got more mad at JK Rowling than they do when a black person gets killed, therefore trans privilege. His reasoning is also tied to pretending that black trans people don't exist.

Or, and this is crazy I know, the former press secretary for Bernie Sanders could not imply she's against trans people for some rage clicks

When you see some D I S C O U R S E that you know is dangerous to engage in with idle mostly-uninformed speculation and conjecture, but goddangit you're addicted to Having Important Takes on the internet and you have some serious FOMO about not getting in on some Takes.

The left looking to podcasters for guidance was and continues to be such a farce. Dave Chappelle unintentionally put out some brilliant bait for jokers like her who absolutely HAVE to weigh in on an issue and expose their ignorance and poor self control.

edit: Oh and yes I know she's linking to a podcast episode, so the answer to the last question could be "no" in her opinion. But a "yes" answer is the clickbait she's trying to use to get people listen to it, so my response remains the same.

Yeah. Like, to your point, Twitter allows enough characters for her to include something like "I don't think so. Find out why on my podcast."

How to write a Dave Chappelle bit: say that you saw a headline about topic, scream the headline between laughter and applause gradually getting quieter and more soft spoken as applause dies down. Make a couple quick and easy jokes, get serious again with a personal anecdotes, have two jokes at the end of the anecdote. Go on a full on boomer tirade being self pitying over how people won't coddle his bigotry that used to be okay. End with some sort of emotional beat to the personal anecdote to engender sympathy and then end with a joke at the end cause you reeled them in with the pathos. Repeat

If you're too cowardly to summarize the so-called "point" then that says a lot about you and your confidence in it Brie

Which begs the question, why reveal the fact you're a coward? Is it because signaling your dislike of trans people is more important to you than appearing like a snide weasel

At first she was ironicly liberal as a bit. But bro, I am starting to get worried it isn't a bit anymore
