You're right. Sometimes it's an FBI op

The CIA doesn't have to control everything. They can do little things like boost a divisive or disarming figure on the left, or fund a divisive group (Black Hammer). Also online manipulation doesn't have to be State actors. Basically everything is privatized anyway but I guarantee neoliberal think tanks and nonprofits that receive funding from military and intelligence probably do have sock puppet accounts.

The CIA aren't literally under everyone's bed. Beyond a certain point constant CIA fear is basically Russiagate for leftists.

Like, don't get me wrong, the CIA do horrendous stuff. But they're too busy funding murder & torture squads in the Global South to have thirty agents astroturfing this site. Most of the shitty takes on here are just other leftists. If you accuse everyone you disagree with of being CIA, they've already won cause you can't organise shit.

Yeah, everyone seems to forget that the NSA has pretty much taken over the domestic surveillance front. You can smell the CIA from a mile away because they're morons, but the NSA is actually good at what they do.

Constantly labeling everything as a CIA op is a CIA op. It's away to establish more CIA power in people's heads, as well as give a lot of people a sense that at least someone is in charge. Because reality is even scarier. The entire thing is off the rails and these are just a bunch of self-reinforcing systems.
