(If you are out of the loop, that's okay! Kyle Rittenhouse is a chud kid who is on trial for murdering two protesters and injuring another in Kenosha, Wisconsin in the aftermath of protests over a police shooting that paralyzed Jacob Blake, a black man. There is a lot of news about the case circling around right now because the trial is ongoing.)

BIG CW for racism, violence, and other chud things
He’s going to get away with it. He won’t be charged with anything and it will just empower more psychos to go out and kill people by agitating to the point of “self defense.” Only way anything changes is mass protests and direct action similar to the initial George Floyd murder, but people are not as intune to this or honestly care. A mistrial could happen but is just unlikely to me.
And somehow this will be used to crack down on the left.
This is the logical conclusion that crybullying has led us to. Just be an absolute fucking monster until your victim fights back, then work the :croc-pog: :juche-tears: to victimize them further.
I debated even making this comment because i'm not sure it serves a purpose but...What has been accomplished?
I mean this in all good faith. Other than Chauvin and his co-defendants conviction, what improvement has occurred? I just see a conservative population that is even more convinced than they were that they will have to kill minorities to remain secure. I don't see significant growth in willingness on the left to counter that violent notion either.
There’s no leading left force here in the US. Nothing to show or guide us into demanding change for the working class, minorities, and the other downtrodden. Direct action is the only way, but we are still so wrapped up in :vote: that things will not improve either. Idk comrade. I’ve been pretty doomer lately to be honest about it all.

The hard part is how do you offer anything of value to people? Because that's how you gain their trust and support. Food Not Bombs works for the homeless but people who have anything at all right now want improvements to their lives, not to be sustained by free gruel. What resources can the left offer better than neoliberal governments and church/charity? Idea's i've had are a non-profit construction co-op that fixes quality of life issues for low income homeowners. But that takes money for materials and manhours for the work. I've been working the equation in my mind for a long time but I keep running into this wall.

I've talked to a lot of people myself and the do tell you want they need. What they need generally involves a lump sum of like $10,000+ to resolve a debt or pay for a project. On top of that they need to earn double their current wage to have any quality of life at all.
Like, I go around putting tarps on people's houses with leaking roofs but even that costs $100 - $200 in materials not factoring my time. How can even this relatively ineffectual and temporary mutual aide be sustainable without a means to generate funds? I realize I'm coming off straight pessimistic but I truly hope to find answers.

Thanks! I do most stuff with my wife, and a couple friends when I can muster them. I loathe the idea of getting a Home Depot sponsorship or having libs involved because that stuff always seems to devolve activism into bureaucracy, branding, and reporting on 'successes' to further fundraising.
I honestly get more done alone with my personal funds than some of the non-profits in town do with $100k's and a full staff.

The essence of that question is that you cannot do it alone. You have to be part of a party. The next question is: how do you build a marxist party in the current atmosphere? The two best texts to start with, in my opinion, are the 8th congres of the Belgian Workers Party and Some Points on the Mass Line, by FRSO.
If you haven't heard of the Belgian Workers Party: they wen't from scoring less then 1% in every election before 2008 to being one of the major parties in the country. The change came after their 8th congress, which i linked to.
Mass protests changed nothing material.
You’re correct, but while they were going on you could see the State was being pushed towards something changing even if slightly. A better organized (I would prefer ML) leadership to it with conditions and demands that were actively shutting down and escalating further might have brought changes. Who knows.
