You look me in the eyes and tell me Clint Eastwood isn’t heavily overrated
Even if I did, that wouldn't mean that the band who made it is bad.
Serious question: were you around when that song first came out? Because back then, it sounded like the future. So likely overrated if you weren't around for it in the beginning. That whole album is incredible, though.
I’ve never listened to a single Gorillaz song outside the first minute of feel good inc
I highly recommend you check out Plastic Beach sometime, it's one of my favourite albums. :comfy-cool:
There is an overbearing sense of climate grief that is all over plastic beach.
It's always gonna be relevant and isn't it? :doomjak:
:stalin-stressed: This NFT shit can't burst fast enough. Tired of hearing about it, tired of seeing the stupid monkey avatars.
I like NFT shit. It's the stupidest thing in a long time. Today Canada announced it'll be selling NFTs of it's dead soldiers. What else is going to bring this level of hilarity?
NFT is not going anywhere and is here to stay. But NFT art bubble is going to explode though.
It's like Gorillaz, except a million times worse in every conceivable way
Gorillaz if they were corporate pawns intended for money laundering and the further entrenchment of capitalism
gorillaz but shit
e: it has come to my attention that this is the least original comment i could have made. reddit moment :mao-aggro-shining: from your pal Bjork.
i love how someone who owns the NFT can't claim royalties for use of their images.
That’s my favorite part. Like, if they were actually attached to the legal system in any way NFTs could be useful. It can only be used for bad things because intellectual property is bad, but it could still accomplish a goal. It could prove intellectual property ownership of an image/other thing. Instead they literally do nothing at all. It’s awesome. I can’t believe this completely imaginary product has people throwing millions of dollars at it.
Living through this bizarre baseless NFT bubble has made me wonder if this is what it was like to live in Holland during the tulip bubble. Like, there must have been people like us who thought that shit was stupid right?
People were probably beaten with clogs in coffeehouses if they dared to say "This tulip this is bonkers". There were probably riots.
Imagine going to a VR concert and seeing these abominations lip syncing for hours.
If they lip sync then are they still the same nft?;:agony-yehaw:
I mean artificial scarcity is something big tech has been working on since DRM.
This is the worst Gorillaz phase thus far
(I know everyone already made this joke, just let me make it too)
Everyone gets to make the Gorillaz joke, as a treat
