Disarm cops, arm retail workers

Still remember the time I worked at CVS around Christmas Time and a lady came in twenty minutes to close, filled up two whole shopping carts with all the seasonal crap she could grab hands on and then proceeded to have me ring her out with like 10 different transactions so she could use all her coupons

Had me stuck there an extra hour because "I always do this when it's late so I don't hold anyone up" she said

"Ma'am, let's just finish this up because it's almost 11:00pm and I would like to go home"

"Oh don't worry, we'll all be home and happy soon enough"

    :pain:

Did you know you're not a person? 🙃

I know I have issues with self-esteem, but I'm just biding my time until I can get an extra set of robot arms so I can just use four machetes at the same time

A few christmases ago I worked at a grocery store on Xmas eve, there was only 2 cashiers maybe plus 4 self checkouts. We closed at 5 and at 5 there was a line wrapping from the front all the way down the aisles.

My store manager WENT THROUGH MY LINE said something like "Man this looks rough" and FUCKING LEFT.

    :gulag:

They wouldn't have said that to you if you had a machete

Correct, you need an effective deterrent. Xmas is retail hell even for grocery stores. Nobody is banging down the doors on black Friday but it gets overwhelming.

Totally believe you, I've had a panic attack in a grocery store trying to pick up a couple things a full week before Christmas. You're braver than the troops for working there
