I would literally rather watch the Star Wars Holiday Special than the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, sorry nerds

Uh but have you heard the soundtrack. No one thought Marvin Gaye was good until it was used in a Chris Pratt film

I was excited because my lil brother was obsessed with the soundtrack. I though it was a good sign he was into things with cultural and musical merit. But alas, he hates everything I show him that is genre related and even by the same artists if it isn't in the movie soundtrack. :doomjak:

I dunno, I hate mcu movies typically but found GotG and its sequel pretty much tolerable

Unironic and true. Its legit heartwarming and feels good. They're fully aware they are fuckin' around with some valuable IP to cash out and they don't take themselves too serious. I respect it

It was made after only the first one came out, for all they knew it was lightning in a bottle and Empire would flip so they did a lot of weird shit. They also appeared on the Muppet Show and it was basically an actually good version of the holiday special

The guy who started the star wars holiday special fan website lives near me so every year I can watch it on the big screen at the local theater. It's so much fun.

Guardians 1 is okay, I saw Guardians 2 with a friend who's dad had just died and they had a pretty bad relationship until about five years before the end, so that one hit real fucking hard.

Guardians is like one of three capeshit I’ve enjoyed.

And 8 year old me thinks Episode 1 is the fucking bomb so eat it nerd.
