Looks like they're scraping up some more copies somehow, but it looks like the game literally sold out within an hour or so of going live. Must have either been a very small print run, or there are more irony pilled folks willing to part with ~$80 for what looks like a kinda jank roll-and-move game than I thought.
EDIT: Apparently the additional copies have also sold out.
EDIT2: If you actually want the thing, it looks like they are accepting pre-orders for an another printing.
It was actually 1 copy. And you've all fallen for phase 3 of the Belden Program.
all brace needed was $80 and now his plans will come to fruition
I made the mistake of bringing this game up in group chat with people who range from radlibs to conservatives who don’t like Trump but will hold their nose and vote for him anyway. I didn’t realize how deadly serious they take Jan 6th. Two words used include “disgusting” and “disrespectful”.
sounds like a bunch of losers who think America is a democracy or something
No mistakes were made.
You should photoshop an image so it looks like the Speaker of the House lectern is actually a miniature collectible in a screenshot of an online store then and message the group telling them that you're selling January 6th commemorative items for a limited time only, then when they're outraged you should gaslight them by telling them that you think it's important that people have a constant physical reminder of how the rule of law is the only thing that can save us from threats to democracy.
Showed it to my sibling (who doesn't listen to the podcast but thought it was hilarious) and they bought one
+ getting to play a pricey bit game without having to buy it
I considered getting one but I don't really know any people irl that are terminally online enough to want to play it.
It'd be funny to buy on and then just drop it off at your local nerdy board game bar just to see if anyone ever actually plays it.
you criticize capital yet board game sold out, curious :very-intelligent:
I wish I had comrades nearby to play niche board games like this. The only time was once on my birthday with my college roommates. We had so much fun that time.
That’s the point! You’re supposed to go out and make like-minded friends and invite them back to your place to play!
Still working on that. Maybe this year. Lot of people in my age group move away from here if they can. Florida tends to be a playground for the wealthy elderly.
Something that might be worth trying is if you have a game store near you is that they usually host meet up nights where strangers can show up and play board games and ttrpgs with each other.
I think the liberal media did a big scaremongering campaign about this, saying it was "praising" January 6th, so a lot of CHUDs might have actually bought the game because of that.
Somehow I doubt that any of those Hogs will pick up on the irony and the jokes leveled against them.
Aww sonofabitch I really wanted one. I should have set an alarm or something - oh well I'll pick up a copy on ebay in a couple weeks when somebody's buyer's remorse sets in.
I think my favorite thing about all this was Jimmy Falun Gong posting a thread accusing Trueanon of being grifting sellouts. He’s generally a good follow, but he has an deep hatred for any podcast more popular than his. Which is every podcast.
At $65 I was gonna buy it but the $15 shipping made me pause, too late now I guess lol
you damned yanks are so spoiled lol $15 shipping in Canada would be considered a good deal
Same I had an alarm set and everything but when I went to check out it said $15 shipping and I bailed. That’s just a fucking ripoff it does not cost $15 to send a box across the country. What’s it made of, depleted uranium?
I'm gonna make my lib parents play this next time I see them
I was gonna buy one and bring it to a dsa meeting to make friends
Sadly my anual Jan 6th celebration of sleeping in all day like I did on that day prevented me from getting one
I was going to get one so went on at like 4 hours in, waaaaay too late. Oh well, no big loss.
