We may only produce reality tv politicians from now on.
Possibly one of the biggest grifters outside of the finance sector :amerikkka-clap: makes perfect sense that an inveterate snake-oil salesman would join politics.
Every time a celebrity enters politics, they seem to prefer the republican party. I wonder why :thinky-felix:
In general there are tons of lib celebrities, they just don’t usually seem to feel the need to actually run for office, thank goodness.
Do you remember the founder of Fark, Drew Curtis? Didn't he try to run for office in PA?
Edit: He lost the Kentucky gubernatorial race to Matt Bevin in 2015. Welp.
We may have lost Matthew McConaughey, but we gained something even better
Genuine question; will the republican primary voters forgive him for being a turk? Because the name Mehmet might be somewhat of a liability for a republican, even if he is a daytime TV king.
I think I just took some psychic damage from that mental picture. Thanks!
Wikipedia has a fantastic policy on not deadnaming people. Unfortunately that also applies to this type of idiot.
He passes as white, which I think is enough for the average Republican.
But he also spent a few summers in turkey as a child, and has a traditionally muslim family. If the other campaigns don't release an Obama-esque turban picture, I'll be really surprised
