    IMO we need socialist preachers to start leading churches (probably by pretending not to be socialist for a bit) in order to turn Southern people. Christianity is way too ingrained in Southern culture, it's what has driven Southern conservatism for decades, so it should be used as the vehicle to deliver socialism instead.

      I see no problem with mainland protestants or Catholics, sure, I dont agree with them in most things but I don't think they are nesesarly an evil, the same for moderate islam (in a secular state) such as Turkey before Erdogan.

      Evangelicals are basically a death cult though IMO, you cant have a functional society with people on power who are actively seeking the end of time, at least they had their plague, hope they choke on it.
