I mean an outsider can hear for example: "Kansas is a deep red state" and think "omg kansas is based". But no.

Fuck the republicans.

Funny thing about red/blue state: Up to the 2000 election, news networks would alternate the color for each party randomly. Sometimes Dems would be red states.

I think rednecks can be easily radicalized.

We just need a deeply flawed local honky that they can trust.

The problem is that If that happens the struggle sesssions and schisms would be so big It might not even be worth it.

IMO we need socialist preachers to start leading churches (probably by pretending not to be socialist for a bit) in order to turn Southern people. Christianity is way too ingrained in Southern culture, it's what has driven Southern conservatism for decades, so it should be used as the vehicle to deliver socialism instead.

I see no problem with mainland protestants or Catholics, sure, I dont agree with them in most things but I don't think they are nesesarly an evil, the same for moderate islam (in a secular state) such as Turkey before Erdogan.

Evangelicals are basically a death cult though IMO, you cant have a functional society with people on power who are actively seeking the end of time, at least they had their plague, hope they choke on it.

Uhh, did you look it up? Rednecks are cool as shit.

TL;DR The term originated from farmworkers and coal miners who had red necks from being in the sun all day and the miners that wore red bandannas in solidarity.

It is a great tragedy that the working poor and slaves never united forces.

Slavery took jobs that the working poor could've had, and slavery obviously ensalved Africans.

Only one winning was the master, shitting on everyone

Aight, sorry I thought It was another new thing that makes people mad around here.

Absolutely they can be. They have the exact same concerns we commies do, they just don't have the knowledge required to frame it. They're victims of generations of very deliberate brainwashing, and we can undo that brainwashing. The needs in the US are very unique though, because if you say the word communism to them they will completely shut their brains off. But if you explain socialism to one of these rednecks 99% of the time they'll say, "yeah, that sounds fucking great." But they think that the reason they can't have a system like that is because of the jews, or because of the atheists, or because of satan, or because of the mexicans, or the blacks, or because of obama, or the gays. The biggest challenge, then, is to show them their real enemy.

Oklahoma used to have a decent socialist presence. Our state motto is "Labor omnia vincit" and in 1917 there was a very shortlived rebellion against the draft that was led by socialists.
