Absolutely they can be. They have the exact same concerns we commies do, they just don't have the knowledge required to frame it. They're victims of generations of very deliberate brainwashing, and we can undo that brainwashing. The needs in the US are very unique though, because if you say the word communism to them they will completely shut their brains off. But if you explain socialism to one of these rednecks 99% of the time they'll say, "yeah, that sounds fucking great." But they think that the reason they can't have a system like that is because of the jews, or because of the atheists, or because of satan, or because of the mexicans, or the blacks, or because of obama, or the gays. The biggest challenge, then, is to show them their real enemy.
