There are mice all over my house and I’m trying to teach them to sew and sing songs so my partner will let me keep all of them. Maybe I should have gone with teaching them to cook gourmet food

There's a tiny mouse that lives in my laundry room, I catch it scurrying around sometimes but I've never seen it. I'd bet money it's a little cutie.

        wait, PETE BUTTIGIEG ?!:pete:

The elephant´s foot bones are pretty much like ours and they're essentially walking on tiptoe, with a tough and fatty part of connective tissue for the sole. :meow-fiesta:

All mammals, including giraffes. Have a nerve that starts in the head, goes all the way down to the heart, loops through an artery, and then goes all the way back up. In giraffes this means this nerve goes 6ft each way to do nothing. If I remember right this is because when we had gills it was a straight shot.

Harvestmen (one of the multiple animals colloquially referred to as daddy long legs) possess secondary hearts in each leg. Why? Scientists aren't entirely sure, but since harvestman legs wiggle for ages after they've been severed it might be connected to that, maybe as a way of distracting predators.

Anyhow, Shwmae, bore da (technically prynhawn da for me since it's evening over here) , alright but, etc.

So that's why they do the twist

Is it like a trade-off for their super good vision do u suppose? Like all the space in the head that would be used for eye moving muscles are instead used for night vision gear?

yeah, the eyes being that big give them amazing eyesight but they have no room left to move them. Plus they need to be light enough to fly
