The military made a robot that can eat organisms for fuel

    Politifact: False

The headline claims the military created a robot that feasts on human flesh, however, the military does not possess any manufacturing or design capabilities. These duties are handled by military contractors. As such the claim is false, and we rate it three pinnochios

I looked into this because it sounds ridiculous - it looks like the proposed mechanics for such a robot are complete science fiction, like this was just a hilarious grift by some "research group".

I feel like every other "new tech" is complete nonsense on its face, and just sustains itself on the total scientific illiteracy of regular investors (or, in this case, capital allocators at the Pentagon)

I just imagined a steam boiler connected to a battery charger, being fed by a swarm of organic matter collectors.

It’s a terrible plan as burning flesh is way less effective than wood.

It would be more effective to have a handcrank on the terminator who will shoot people if they don’t crank it for a bit.

I imagined it would be some kind of fermenting system. Like a robotic cow that eats grass and ferments it in its stomach.

I know you're joking but that's basically exactly what they claimed they were trying to do

      The grift never ends.

Tho, those fucking robots have their own wikipedia article, but they are oriented to plants, which make sense cuz just burn it for steam, while corpses have bones which are a hassle.

Then why demo it using human dummies

This is really damn creepy even by capitalisms standards, it has to be a joke

Will they sue me for copyright infringement if I describe our economic system as a cold unfeeling machine that eats human beings?

Couple this with the impending fuel shortage, and we get Blood Drive
