Growing up in rural America this is literally my childhood, our "playroom" that all the neighborhood kids would come hang out to play Halo and Resident Evil literally looked like this

We would sit on plastic lawn chairs (indoors) cause the dingy couch was uncomfortable and too far from the screen

And we'd drink these huge packs of Gatorade and capri-sun my mom would buy every week, Yu-gi-oh card were always scattered about, and this one kid would bring these delicious mini corn dogs his mom bought from the piggly wiggly

I'm Arab, how the fuck do I have one of the most quintessential American upbringings on this site, shit is tripping me out just thinking back on it :stalin-stressed:

One of my best friends in early childhood was literally named Hunter, and if you think that's trippy half the kids who hung out in the playroom were white passing Native Americans

A staple of Southern American retail capitalism that should be classified as an SCP.......and the place my mama bought Gatorade and corn dogs

              Southern American retail capitalism

Midwest too, Alabama has 104 locations (20% of all locations) and Wisconsin has 92 (18% of all locations.)

We had a .22 rifle and a high-powered pellet gun, naturally we were only allowed to mess around with the pellet gun

rural Canada for me, but yeah. We also had a dartboard but that got removed when I accidentally got my friend in the ass with one of the darts

I busted some drywall with a shelf a while back and never heard the end of the Kyle jokes, it was at the peak of that meme. When I fixed it, it turned out that I popped a hole in a patch that was previously made when someone else put a hole

Oh man, this place is a century or so old and is pretty much only patches of anything now. I'm gonna be gone by march anyway

This looks like it was taken when gamers still thought weebs were weird nerds, before they merged with one another. I was pretty awkward but the anime kids were on a whole other level.

Doesn't seem weird to me at all. A lot of people were introduced to anime tropes through Japanese games.

I lurked 4chan in the mid/late 2000s and it was pretty much assumed everyone was both a weeb and a gamer then

Bear in mind that channers generally hate themselves and will viciously mock people for doing things they do

Yeah, my nerdery has always been very specifically focused on Tolkien and Star Trek as far as media stuff goes. I basically just looked around a few times and the drummer for my first band was a big chanboi before it was really understood, but as with every high scht band, you deal with it because no one has a drum kit

You haven't really beaten the game unless you've played it on the original hardware in this specific room. Sorry fake gamers
