"Running against capitalism but not the Ukraine war" is a good sign, at least

A fan of martial arts, Kharitonov managed a collective farm in Siberia during the Soviet era. Following the end of socialism in the USSR, he joined the Agrarian Party, one of the political groups that emerged from the destruction of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

I'm going to be so mad if he ends up being a revisionist or something

Farming issues remain an interest of his. This week at a CPRF conference, Kharitonov praised the collectivization of Soviet agriculture in the 1930s as a “correct reform that allowed us to resolve the food problem on the eve of a great war,” referring to Hitler’s invasion in 1941.

ok . . . and that's basically the last thing it says about him, so as far as the content of the article goes, he's totally worth supporting

That’s badass. It also serves as a nice own against the “what about fruit” liberals that popped up recently.

I have read his policies plus the one of the perty he used to be a part of and his main policy is that he wants collectivised farming back which is good but i dont think he is winning the election

He might get a bigger part of the electorate this time. He's supposed to be better than the previous candidates. That might net the party more support down the line.

But only if Putin is unpopular which he is not at the moment, maybe he can steal a few boomer voters from the socdems and nationalists but i dont think united russia will lose many seats if any

They may. We'll see. I still expect a better performance, which could lead to more goodwill later on.
