From what I understand we're at our testing limit. The numbers really might not go any higher simply because of that

Is there some truth in that we're all going to catch omicron at some point? It certainly seems that way. I hope it's mild and that the vaccines help to mitigate it.

people in England are reporting getting it after being fully vaccinated and staying home except for going to the grocery store, where they masked up. Masks only work well if everyone wears a good one, otherwise one infectious person can spread it around to everyone, especially with omicron. Symptoms among fully vaccinated are ranging from the sniffles and sore throat to being knocked out in bed for a week.

Not sure the specifics, 2 shots might work out if they're brand new, perhaps the booster just maintains the immunity after a period of time? Not sure, stay safe out there

it’s so much more complicated than that at this point and the complexity has basically exceeded what you can explain online these days

But how do we know that the untrustworthy us government isn’t covering up even more cases?

My friend group nearly entirely dodged covid in 2020.

Like half of them have got covid this week.

    Christ almighty.

Equally (if not more disturbing) is this tweet I noted under yours...

I also found this in another; the chart data is tabulating results of positive samples collected from some thousands of people who tested positive on a weekly basis, and determining the variant type from that. Note the last two rows/weeks....they are projected, but um...

Makes me think of how covid19 deaths are probably higher than stated, for example when both my mom and my cousin's best friend died of covid19 their death certificates had 'respiratory failure' on them rather than what triggered the respiratory failure.

If you managed to avoid this until now, they're going to resent you for not getting it. They're going to give you odd looks as you walk down the street. They're going to consider you a traitor. How dare you not get this disease for your country? How dare you keep your immune system pure when everyone else is swimming in variants. They're going to hold you down and take turn spitting in your mouth. They're not going to rest until you share their misery as well. We will all sacrifice. We all must sacrifice. Douse the non-coughers with righteous sputum.

I complimented the White House coronavirus task force for their responsiveness. You know, there were some specific requests by governors that were made. One of them was that the isolation period be reduced for those that are tested positive. That way, they can return to work...

I can't find anywhere in their provided links support for the claim of >half a million daily cases, and that's like a full factor of 2 higher than NYT reported. Where are they getting that number from?
