I regret to inform you that Disney has Cousin Skeeter hostage. Disney produced the last two or three seasons (the show literally became known as “Disney’s Doug” for them lmao), I learned not long ago
The rest of Nick does seem like a mess, I have no idea who owns most of their stuff. I think Disney has Gargoyles too
Nickelodeon for all of its life has been owned by Viacom, which now has re-merged with CBS to become ViacomCBS. Therefore, Nick stuff should be showing up on Paramount+ (like the rebooted Rugrats show) but for some reason not everything has been moved over. I imagine there are some issues with negotiating streaming rights for older shows that pretty much every streamer has waffled on.
I legit had no idea… I always thought the Doug Skeeter was occasionally referred to as “cousin Skeeter” in Doug, I have zero recollection of the non-Doug version
Fun unrelated aside, in Disney Doug's episode "Doug and the Bluffington Five" there's a sound clip from Roger Klotz where he calls the liberal faction of a school uniform debate "a bunch of liberal weenies" when they try to debate the conservative principle, instead of taking a decisive win over them. Or something o that effect. I've always been shocked no one has taken that sound bite and run with it in these parts.
Upon research they do have a good chunk of stuff, mainly the "greatest hits" so to speak, but have so far neglected the real obscure stuff.
But if any streaming service is gonna get them, they're the most likely candidate. We can only hope.
Hopefully, they are updating and adding stuff as time goes on. So fingers crossed they'll eventually have to scrape the bottom of the barrel and add all the weird shit lol.
Remember when Nickelodeon and Netflix were supposed to have that partnership? Did anything at all come of it?
Paramount Plus came out before anything happened I think. Since Nickelodeon is Paramount-owned, the catalogs landed on their platform along with a big push from them i.e. finishing Hey Arnold with the Jungle Movie, making a new Invader Zim/Rocko's, and rebooting Rugrats. But they're super uneven on their releases, putting out big stuff and the more obscure stuff like Welcome to the Wayne with no rhyme nor reason.
What was that show with the two beavers who were brothers I think?
