In case of you were feeling that urge to partake in the flavor of the month and don't want to waste money, the linked thread already has the clean files and crack in multiple posts with multiple DL options.
Repeat after me: Our local Hexbear devs are the only ones that you shouldn't steal from.
Hope y'all enjpy the free game. It's like ark, but for people who value their time.

When I release a video game, everyone here has my permission to steal it.
If I ever make or release a video game I'll post the torrent here myself. The password will be PigPoopBalls
Our local Hexbear devs are the only ones that you shouldn't steal from.
It's not stealing, I'm sharing their code with me.
I want to play this game because it's fucking hilarious for a Brazilian, because "Pal" is pronounced just like "pau", one of our words for dick. Going around collecting dick fluid is gonna be a blast
I have never been more confused by the popularity of a game. Adding guns to Pokemon just ruins the vibe. What do people see in this?
Guns don't come until late game. This is pokemon and Ark(or Minecraft ) put together. Its pretty solid if you like survival games, Especially for an early access game. Much better with friends
Some people (not me) still like survival games. It's a survival base builder with some tower defense and monster hunter elements.
It looks too nihilistic in all the wrong ways for me, but I'm interested in what other people have to say about it. Always happy to see more monster games.
I agree the whole exploitation aspect is grim, but I feel the tone indicates its not meant to be taken at face value. It's like a cumtown bit as a game. except they made an actually good game underneath the "haha im so edgy + subversive" aspect that I totally understand if some feel goes too far.
Yeah! I'm in two minds about it, I don't like my first impression from the outside but am more than willing to be pleasantly surprised. So I'd love to hear some other peoples experience
dope stuff, hopefully other people that have braved the high seas chime in.
Im somewhat interested in the game but I dont really want to play an Early Acess game basically day 1. Even if its good. I would rather wait for the full game or half a year till the game got some more polish and features.
Hope those who decide to play it right now have fun
To each their own, I enjoy finding bugs. The “finished” version is forever, the buggy mess at launch is temporary
Yeah I get being there for a game day 1 can be "fun" BUT I only do that for games that I really care about and Palworld is just not that high on my list of games.
Honestly it probably has to do with me being a hater at heart.
I loved playing the early leaked starfield build. Shit was dumb as all hell, but the schadenfreude of Todd’s dream game being an absolute turd almost made up for Skyrim releasing in my teens and ES6 not having any chance of releasing until my 30s.
On a more positive note: the Vic3 leaks were better than the finished product. So getting in early can be good sometimes.
I am biased bc monster catchers and survival games are my favorite genres, but it feels like the dev team was split in half on wether they wanted to make an actually decent monster catcher or just fill it with edgy jokes. The base building and automation mechanics are really fun, but I wouldn't blame someone for being put off by the ""humor""
Just some information about the cracked game.
I'd recommend using the Goldberg steam emulator to play and make sure to change your account id to something other than the emulator default if you're planning to play online otherwise you'll have issues with other people playing cracked versions with the same emulated steam account id set if you connect to the same server at the same time.
You can find this at: C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves\settings
To find the appdata folder press the windows button and type %appdata% then hit enter
This game seemingly has no check about ownership post gamelaunch (bypassed with Goldberg + Steamless) so you can play on official servers with cracked game versions. This will probably change in the future so it may be worth sticking to user-hosted dedicated servers and I'd also be wary about auto-updating the server software because of changes in future ownership checks. I'd also apply that same "read before you update files approach" to the client as well for the same reasons.
How do you run this on Linux? I have Lutris and tried running it as an installed game, set the executable to Palworld.exe, and when I press play it does nothing for a second then it seems like it crashes? Never opens a window. Haven't set up any games from the high seas since I switched to Linux :/
Yeah, fair, but I think it can't really be super hard for it to work, no? I looked at what you need to do to get Fitgirl repacks to work with Lutris and it seemed straightforward, but with these clean steam files and whatnot I have no idea...
if you grab the logs, we might be able to help. it's hard to know what's going wrong without them.
I started over and got a bit farther with another download link, got it to actually launch and it asked for vcr so I followed the basic steps (winetricks, set up the prefix, selected 2019 vcr, etc). I failed to download VCR though, the checksum failed which it suggests is due to patches. I'm not sure how to actually get Winetricks to use the right source for VCR
you should be able to update the checksum in the package definition, if you don't want to wait for an update to it
All devs should be supported but theres a good bit of irony in this statement and i do find it funny.
I made somebody sad last time I took a radical pro-piracy position (PPP, but actually good and not ridden with corruption) so I felt the need to disclaim: "Do not steal from comrades"
Edit: Even though that should be obvious
