The word "cancel" have been permanently broken in the language processing part of my brain. When I see the work "cancel" or "cancelled" in literally anything, instead of thinking "(of a factor or circumstance) neutralize or negate the force or effect of (another)" first, instead I thought about fucking cancel culture. Like I see the "cancel" button in a goddamn food delivery app and my perfectly adjusted brain thought about people getting shamed and chuds losing their shit. Same with the word "woke" (as in "woke up in the morning"), "based" (as in "based in [location]"), "cringe" (as in "cringe in pain"), if they turn more average word into political internet jargons I think I'm going to completely lose grip on reality.
I fucking hate the internet. The biggest work on psychology in this century is going to be about how the Internet absolutely destroyed humanity's fragile consciousness and why internet must be dismantled.
