America talks about freedom while not having universal healthcare unlike most of the countries they call evil, and being famous around the world for torture

The US didn't federally legalize gay marriage until like 7 years ago and now is being spun as the one to root for because its LGBT inclusive? I hate it get it away. :meow-cactus:

Yeah the guy who is the hitching post of the current administration's legitimacy had to "evolve" on the issue.

The United States hasn't decisively won a war since WW2 other than, like, that one that lasted a week or whatever. And those were all against countries with significantly less military power than Russia currently has. It's just an entirely different type of war. It would be a disaster for everybody involved. The idea that you'd be yass kweening all the way to Moscow even if it didn't devolve into nuclear strikes is ludicrous.

Not to mention the absolute dysfunction going on back at home. This isn't 9/11 with a pretty much vocally unified america rallying around the flag. Everyone hates each other and we can't stop catching covid.

Lol, pretending that precision ordnance will work against an enemy with advanced Electronic Warfare capabilities that jams GPS.

The US's entire next generation warfare is based on EM spectrum usage and Russia has the capability to jam that shit, rendering it useless.

any way we could bring some of that tech to the next protest that gets buzzed by military drones? I'd also settle for a very large trebuchet.

Using jammers is one of the things the FCC actually cares about, so it would be difficult to obtain one. Jamming a drone would be difficult from the ground, as well. You could need a way to track the drone, and then use a high-power directional antenna to jam its receivers. It would be extremely difficult to jam a drone's transmit signals without being able to put a jamming source in close proximity to it. Much easier to use a jammer to scramble the cops' radio communications ability. An added bonus to a radio-jammer would be if it jammed cell-signals as well, preventing :LIB: streamers from getting clout by creating evidence to be used by cops against protesters.

Key takeaway about jamming: it's much easier to jam a receiver than it is a transmitter.

Think about it like this: if you're standing next to a loud fan and someone tries to talk to you, it's very difficult to understand them. Now, talk to that person and it will be easier for them to hear you (than you them). The jammer is overwhelming useful signal with noise. An omnidirectional jammer is most effective near the intended jamming location, while a directional jammer can effectively overwhelm a single target from a distance.

I am eagerly anticipating the day when a hypersonic missile finally ends the delusions of superiority. Some drone or satellite footage of a carrier cracked in half

Im just waiting for the Russians to finally try out their new anti air missiles. The US is barely capable of dealing with the 90s era version.

The F-35 is such an efficient machine, that it can be downed even without the use of any missiles at all. It's probably also a better anti-imperialist machine than anything invented by the Soviets since the AK and the RPG.

This scaremongering about an imminent Russian invasion of Ukraine is mostly happening because the army got mad that previous scaremongering about an imminent Chinese invasion of Taiwan was drawing too much money and attention to the navy.

General Dynamics has realized that it's hard to sell tanks when everybody thinks that WW3 will happen in the South China Sea rather than the Fulda Gap.
