i feel like im...losing my mind. im being transported back to tent revival.

edit: yes, having a wheelchair doesn't mean you can't walk or stand, im marveling at the evangelical themes running through this. to me, it feels like the pastor putting his hand on your head and pronouncing you cancer free but the pastor is american exceptionalism. maybe im reaching though!

im more inwardly yelling about the tent revival miracle maker style messaging here. like, maybe im just crazy but this feels like a direct shout out to evangelicals (not that he wasnt already doing that)

He's a candidate groomed by Biltmore Church in Arden. After his accident (totally his fault, he tried to switch seats on the highway), they helped take care.of his medical expenses. Now they manage his investments that he lives off (2 million I think from donations and insurance that he has sitting in investment accounts). Ask anyone who grew up here with him (myself included) and they'll tell you how much of a scumbag he's always been.

I remember laughing hysterically and saying "you get what you deserve" when the young Republicans in my highschool tried to get me to donate to his medical fund.

Some people use a wheelchair because while they can stand for a short time, they can't walk or stay standing for long
