Prefigurative of a viable communist party or just revisionists capturing popular discontent for personal empowerment? I'm personally a fan of Dr. Cornel West, but this is the first I'm hearing of this and I value the community's input.

Socdem party I don't know if they'll siphon off support from the democrats and republicans, and or if they'll win any seats in any states but they'll spread a message to libs which isn't that bad I guess. I wonder if this will help communist parties like psl by increasing radicalization or hurt them due to the fact that they're still socdems and they will halt people on their radicalization.

There hasn't been a chance for party rot yet, so it's our duty to use things like this to push radicalization. People wouldn't join this because they're happy with the status quo. The people joining this would be ripe for radicalization.

It's an attempt at building the coalition that led MORENA to victory in Mexico. But too many white Berniecrats, only one person representing AFL-CIO, and no other unions represented.

The past four years have proven that teachers are at the vanguard of the working class movement in the US. I am not going to take a progressive or labor party seriously until they have the support of the Teachers' Unions.

America is collapsing, and this roster does not seem capable of addressing that fact. They will only ever be relevant if the bourgeoisie anoint them the administers of social democracy.

It's like an actual labor party, but without the labor.

    Where are the unionists?

Chris Hedges probably had the worst take about violence ever. It was during Occupy Wallstreet and his spat with the black bloc, and he wrote that shouting profanities against cops is a form of violence. Couldn't find the original article where he wrote about violently shouting profanities at cops, but this popular article was why he was against the Black Bloc:

      https://www.truthdig.com/articles/the-cancer-in-occupy/

he thinks that John Zerzan is a major player lol. He also hates Lenin and the USSR, and was happy that it fell, Hedges is probably worst than Chomsky, atleast Chomsky is a good database for all the Crimes of US empire, but Hedges wants us all to become non-violent martyrs, like good Christians, to bring about change. He's a Christian Socialist, so expect lots of cringe.

Danny Glover is based though, he's a big supporter of Venezuela and Cuba, he wants to make a film about Toussaint Louverture and the Haitian revolution, but he can't raise the funds from Hollywood Libs.

I'd be very interested if they formed ties to PSL and the green party to build a larger organization

I was googling around and saw PSL complaining to Peace & Freedom that the Greens don't care about them so they should endorse PSL. A riveting essay for all 5 readers.

So yeah let's get some unity pls

Tbh I’m cautiously excited/optimistic. I really admire Cornel West and Nina Turner (I got to see them speak live in a crowd of like 500 and it was awesome), and it would be good to have a voice for “leftists” in the politics conversation. Call me a lib, but I kinda like voting. And if I had someone I could vote for who really shares and wants to politick my ideals into reality would be kinda cool.

I prefer revolution over reform, but this is the kind of electoralism that could maybe turn out cool, if it is a sincere movement with zero grifting and compromise.
