I'd live in the Dragon Ball universe because it reminds me of the wild west with lots of exploration, dinosaur ridin', wishing for underwear havin, fightin' bad guy hijinks. Until it moves to Z and then everyone keeps dying every like 10 years when a bad guy invades and blows the earth up.

First choice is Kiki's Delivery Service for the food and very chill vibes.

If I could be a character with powers, the bullshit of the Nasuverse is very appealing to me (mystic eyes, noble phantasms, etc).

Honestly, I'd recommend the Kara no Kyoukai movies for some peak Nasuverse. Ryougi, Touko, Kokutou, Azaka are amazing characters, and movie 3 is some of Yuki Kajiuras best work for music. The Kalafina songs are amazing too.

The full version of fate is on switch soon too, supposedly, I have no clue if they left the H scenes in tho. Though the writing for the H scenes is almost laughably bad if I remember right (I played the game almost 18 years ago).

        Fate Zero very good too.

The Deen adaptation of fate route is v.bad. No comment on the later adaptations tho.

          I second Kara no Kyoukai.

It might not be for everyone, but honestly it's damn near my most favorite anime.

COOMMMRRAAADEEEE! (Imagine the BROOOOOTHERRRR from Toudou in JJK)

            Seriously, love those movies.

I get tears every time during the showdown during Movie 3. Also, when Azaka fights the monster in Movie 6 is incredible animation, absolutely goated sequence (and the music my god).

The entire series is art. What really sealed the deal for me is that no matter what, at its very heart it's a love story. (Call me a bit of a romantic), and just being able to watch and put together Shiki and Mikiya's story rubbed my brain in all the right spaces. Combine it with the outstanding work of Ufotable, and the vocals of Kalafina under the masterful direction of Yuki Kajiura, and by Jove you have in your hands a masterpiece!

Sometimes I wish it was continued, but honestly I'm content with it being a completed work.

I didn't even realize they did all the epilogues after episode 7 until last year! Recalled out summer and the Mana stuff was just this great final addition that really adds a satisfying bow.

And yeah, the love story is the heart of it. Also, I forgot to mention in my first post, but it's absolutely Maaya Sakamoto's best role (and she's Aerith and L'alc in diebuster, among so many others).

Jojo. Easily. I need a stand immediately.

And to anyone saying that 99.9% of people in JoJo don't have a stand: that's cool but I'm built different

Living in the Z world would be terrifying, remember Cell going around eating people with his tail? Buu? No thanks. Like you said, Pre-Z Dragon Ball would be a way nicer place to live.

I guess I'd live in the Pokemon world. Free healthcare and cute little monsters hanging around. I'd ressurect Team Plasma and free all the Pokemon, mwahaha.

Pokemon would be nice, the way less chaotic option for sure. I always thought Gundam because of all the FALGSC tech but the universe is always at war.

Yeah Gundam odds are you'd be victim of a war crime, sadly.

Unfortunately even Gunbuster, odds are you get eaten by a space monster. But at least Soviet Union is still around.

Mushi-shi, flying witch, or one of the chill Miyazaki stories. I've had enough excitement, i just want to chill in the cake cafe run by a nice ghost and chat with witches and people from beyond the beyond.

    One Punch Man

Cuz if you can get in THAT good of shape with just 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 100 squats and a 1k run, I'd be swole as fuck just doing 25 of each a day!

Imagining being something mundane, like a math teacher, in Revolutionary Girl Utena is a funny thought, but not a great answer.

Frank and ChestRockwell already have the most sensible answers, so I'll just suggest Spy X Family for GDR-emblem reasons (although the actual politics of of Westalis and Ostania are non-existent).

Maybe Space Dandy, so I could try all the different alien ramen recipes from that one ramen episode.

Sometimes I think it might be cool to live in the Cowboy Bebop future- 99% of people probably never interact with bounty hunters or syndicate assassins, so you could just live as a normal guy but get to visit other planets. But the Earth being constantly bombarded by asteroids would be a bummer. Plus that one lady almost turned millions of people into apes with a bio-weapon, and Vincent Volaju almost killed millions of other people with a bio-weapon. Probably not worth it overall.

As you said, Pre-Z Dragonball Earth has a variety of cool places to explore, plus it has dinosaurs and animal people. There's also some neat cities, and you could visit Penguin Village. Capsules are really cool too.

Howl's Moving Castle has magic and the chill Miyazaki vibe with the delicious-looking Ghibli food, and there's someone to actually stop the idiotic imperialist wars.

I'd live in the Dragon Ball universe

This is a good answer but also for another reason: You can literally do anything with enough hard work. What a wonderful fantasy. powercry-1 Like if I lived in the Dragon Ball universe I would simply work out until I can punch gods to death and then nobody could kill me.

I've been watching a lot of space western anime so shit. That would suck.

Could I maybe just live in the small town from Jojo S3 and somehow not die? That season was basically just Persona 4.

They're sick! I'm pretty new to anime as a whole so it's been a lot of fun watching them and going "oh hey it's that thing from the internet!" when a meme scene or something I've just absorbed comes on.

well ibo is totally standalone, so if you're looking for space western anime you could do a lot worse than to check it out!

it's not quite as much of a space western as say, trigun or certain episodes of cowboy bebop, but it's got a lot of grit, it's dusty, it feels lived in, and the soundtrack is heavy on the acoustic guitar. i'd say it's about as much of a space western as bebop averages out to. it's also just a very good show that manages to have pretty good politics.

the show has a little more faith in electoralism than i do but it doesn't have much faith in it, it's stance is basically 'you can achieve some good through electoralism, but you'll never meaningfully affect structures of power, and therefore all the causes of the problems you want to solve will remain'
