Gotta love how committed they are to the whole "Government is useless" bit
They're probably the first in line to shit themselves when it takes an extra 10 minutes for them to get their Quarter Pounder meal because everyone in the McDonald's is dying
They claim they want the public education system abolished for a more corporate-friendly one, but when you show ANY mistrust to corporations they say "but communism is LITERALLY totalitarianism and we must all worship porky who can do no wrong! Didn't you learn that in high school!?!?!"
You can tell how high the reading comprehension levels are over there when the second guy goes "Covid was created by the government" and the first guy responds "yes, that's correct, covid is a naturally occurring disease that the government can't possibly have any effect on."
That's been the play since the beginning, they're as immoral as they are stupid.
"COVID isn't real because COVID would mean my behavior would have to change and I should do whatever I want no matter how much it screws with decent people in the process. But COVID was made by China, so let's genocide one seventh of the planet....just in case."
As long as the internet or Fox News says it, they will believe it.
It's almost a prerequisite for being a right winger, that you either are dumb as shit, or just completely lack any form of reading comprehension. This might also in part explain how americans are so reactionary, since most of them can't read for shit.
no, its true, you cannot politick or govern your way out of a disease [kicks polio irradication under the furniture while maintaining unblinking eye contact]
No stop, you're going to convince them that a public sewer is "oppreshun uv muh FREEDUMZ!" and they will have sewers abolished by next week.

This dumb fucker
If people were threatening to lock down the entire world for cholera when that was a thing that was common then yes. Cholera still occurs today... We don't hide in our homes for it.
From History.com - https://www.history.com/topics/inventions/history-of-cholera
The disease subsequently spread throughout Europe, including reaching Great Britain for the first time via the port of Sunderland in late 1831 and London in spring of 1832. Britain enacted several actions to help curb the spread of the disease, including implementing quarantines and establishing local boards of health. But the public became gripped with widespread fear of the disease and distrust of authority figures, most of all doctors. Unbalanced press reporting led people to think that more victims died in the hospital than their homes, and the public began to believe that victims taken to hospitals were killed by doctors for anatomical dissection, an outcome they referred to as “Burking.” This fear resulted in several “cholera riots” in Liverpool. The third pandemic, stretching 1852–1859, was the deadliest. It devastated Asia, Europe, North America and Africa, killing 23,000 people in Great Britain alone in 1854, the worst single year of cholera. In that year, British physician John Snow, who’s considered one of the fathers of modern epidemiology, carefully mapped cholera cases in the Soho area of London, allowing him to identify the source of the disease in the area: Contaminated water from a public well pump. He convinced officials to remove the pump handle, immediately dropping the cholera cases in the area.
The disease kept going because NO ONE KNEW how to fight it/prevent it for decades. Then actual steps were taken. I hope a rock falls on them.
Literally the only reason they can even imagine saying this is that they're among the first generations out of the phase where the crushing weight of disease has fucked over humanity for millennia. Imagine saying "People dying of disease is and has always been normal to grounded people" to any of your ancestors beyond your parents or grandparents and them being like "I lost two of my sons and a daughter to disease and one of my siblings died of tuberculosis last year. I spent my childhood in a horrific state because I was quite a sickly child." Completely fucking deranged. Everybody on a subreddit to the right of r/genzedong will be sent to compulsory re-education after the revolution.
I imagine this guy deep down thinks that he and his immediate social circle won't bear the brunt of such a thing, but that the "undeserving" will. The selfishness aside, many Americans are atomized in such a way where they simply can't comprehend the gravity of societal failures reaching them, despite feeling the effects as of right now.
I sat at a park bench for 3 hours once and didn't see anyone fatally collapse to their death. I was already kind of worried about the direction this country is going in, but this I found deeply alarming. I recommend the rest of yall fallow me on over to /r/walkaway
You sat on a bench? in A PARK!?!?! and NOT IN A CAR!?!?! Hello!? House Unamerican Activities Committee?! We got ourselves a freethinker who didn't fall for the SJW red scare quite enough!
I think it was Matt Christman who predicted that the most likely outcome of capitalism's need for endless profit in the face of this pandemic is the normalization of mass death, and here we are.
This person is right of course which is why washing your hands after wiping your ass barehanded is stupid
I have been fucking s t r u g g l i n g to get through to some friends who have become convinced that there's nothing we can do about covid so we might as well move on, also somehow convinced that lockdowns could never work.
Suprise they also think China must be faking its data, like they can't handle the idea that we really could have saved most of those lives if we bothered trying.
Honestly I think it's like how 10 years ago all the libs were convinced Iran had a nuclear weapons program. Like there's a similar vagueness and uniformity that they get from everybody they talk to just agreeing about it. They've simply never considered whether there's any evidence at all to support it - everybody agrees about it it must be true.
Bring up New Zealand. I'd say Taiwan too, but that type of person only trusts white countries.
I did bring up New Zealand honestly, I know better than to just talk about China with libs lol. Nothing I could do would penetrate their fortress.
We just had like 800 community cases here, New Zealand is not doing that amazing rn thanks to Omicron. People haven't been taking the lockdowns seriously in my experience.
Don't get me wrong, up until now the administration has done a good job, I'm just cynical about our continued ability to keep it up.
If they want a return to normal, they should refuse antibiotics the next time they have an infection.
okay, can JUST these people drown in their own lung fluids and leave the rest of us uninfected?
I think every now and then we need a post where someone deep-dives into Right Wing reddit just to remind us just how unhinged they are. Maybe restrict it to certain days, since that much Right Wing content is sure to give people braindamage.
