"Oh umm.....I'm a landlord too!....yeah, totally! AND a small business owner! Can the US now start giving a damn that I can't live off of minimum wage!?"
Actually read the article too:
The woman, who asked blogTO to use the name Lori, says she bought a home in North York in May 2021 but that soon after she bought it, she got transferred to work in Stouffville. She decided to rent out the home to a young family... But since Sept. 1, the tenants haven't paid any rent and now owe about $14,000. When Lori goes to the home to ask for rent, they argue that it is their home and call the police.
Unbelievably based and Mao-pilled :mao-shining:
Jesus, I read it but wasn't very mindful if the dates. The rent is $2800/month.
Honestly, sad -- they should be able to live on one job. We need better jobs.
Yeah, apparently the landlord teaches. Which, unless you're one of the lucky few to teach at a public school, is such a shit job. Private schools try to only pay you for hours "worked", which seems to basically be in-class hours, often look for advanced degrees, and will essentially make you design a curriculum, while expecting you to get paid a bit above minimum wage. Such a shit-show.
There are so many potential public work projects. But if we're good we will get basic income and DLCs.
ive heard more horror stories of canadian landlords than anywhere else, get fucked
Landlordism (alongside something related) needs to fucking die a painful death at the hands of the very people who get fucked over by it.
