Not entirely sure, but I think if you ended up living in "Sibirien" you'd be better off just putting a bullet in your head or moving to Mongolia because atleast Mongolia has something besides dangerous wildlife and trees.

But when it comes to politics they're all about territorial integrity. Arbitrary borders based solely on temporary military control which are were only agreed upon as placeholders while awaiting a referendum which decides which delegates are sent to a preliminary congress to decide a long term settlements, those borders are sacrosanct.
