I do not know why anyone would admit to being a literal Nazi while not under duress. Even most actual fascists don’t like the label.

I think it's a combination of the marketplace of ideological labels for Very Online people to adopt as identities ("I was a Juche Egoist, now I'm a Titoist minarchist!") and people seeing Nazi as just another label, and decades of Holocaust survivors and WWII vets dying and having their first hand accounts be drowned out by sensationalist History Channel shows ("Hitler Looks for Aliens") and alt-right memes, making people forget/never learn how evil the Nazis were.

Look at the person's sunflower emoji, symbolizing the story about seeds in Russian soldiers' pockets. All of this is a game to them, not real. They don't care that war is hell for everyone involved. They don't care that the Ukrainian soldiers they pretend to care about will suffer from injuries, diseases, and PTSD for the rest of their lives; they don't care that the loved ones of deceased Ukrainian soldiers will feel their loved ones died for nothing. None if that matters to them. It's just the aesthetic. That's why they can say with a straight face that they went through a nazi phase.

another one of their tweets was a list of a dozen ideologies theyve gone through, it was like a dozen at least

Ridiculous. It all makes me feel a lot better about not immediately becoming a communist

I’ve gone through similar transformations but I don’t wear it on my sleeve lol. I just say I’m a communist unless someone asks me specifically

There was a phase where every kid at my school would yell heil Hitler and stuff like that. Most of them were black and Mexican lol. The South Park edginess faded away after I reached high school though and instead me and the Arab guy would ironically say heil saddam

I got heiled for having black hair and blue eyes. Highschoolers are very much still children I suppose.

I think it's blaming being a piece of shit on your genes rather than your terrible brain

I tried googling it but did not get far

Truly the west has produced some of the most domesticated humans in all of known history. Even the Helots were self-aware enough to know something was wrong.

I think their "Nazi phase" is still visible in their Twitter history so people are referencing their old Nazi tweets. Clearly they're not embarrassed about it enough if they haven't deleted them or their account.

There was a time where "former nazis" who talked about their experience in the nazi rabbit hole and how they escaped it and used to rake in a lot of views, around the time breadtubers presented themselves as a necessary force pushing against the dominant white supremacist narrative that had taken hold in youtube after gamergate. They were popular and lovingly embraced because they reinforced this fake narrative that made breadtubers so popular in the first place, even nowadays if you press enough, some people will justify Vaush's shitty takes by stating that "he converts a lot of people" even though the beliefs of these former nazis go thoroughly unexamined and we don't even have a way to quantify that. I assume this is partly the reason why this person chooses to wear that tag of former nazi with some pride, in fact, they became relatively popular BECAUSE they identify as such, ironically enough.

      Uh, ok.

I meant if you are a nazi, you 10000% have fucked up views on sexuality. I wasn't saying "nazis are gay".
