Good lord he's so confused. He's just going through the motions but he has no idea what the hell he's talking about.

Over on /r/politics people are saying he's been great and how dare people say he's senile. I watched the press conference. I found it uncomfortable to watch and that was before he said the president of Mexico (he meant Egypt) didn't to open the gate and allow humanitarian aid into Gaza. I think there are a lot of democrats that could easily beat Trump in November and Biden is not one of them. Biden is an old man insisting he can still drive a car. I hate the democratic party and all, but Trump is probably going to be as bad for Palestinians and immigrants and worse for a lot of other people too. Whatever you decide to do in November, I don't care, but never ever concede to a liberal that you will vote for a senile genocidal border hawk to keep a different senile genocidal border hawk out of office because they should be worried about this.

Trump feels like an unstoppable force at this point. I honestly think they are counting on finding him guilty on federal charges worthy of a prison sentence a week before elections, but that's absolutely not gonna work.

I wonder if he'll remember what state he's in when he wins the Michigan primary at the end of the month.

"It's great to be here in the Eastern Peninsula of the Great Lakes State of Ohio. My dad really knew how to drive a boat and he would take us out on Lake Ontario when we went up to our summer cottage in this beautiful state of Wisconsin. I've always loved your state slogan: 'Pure Minnesota'. Makes me think of the soda jerks we had in the town our cottage was in: Gary. Just a quaint little lake town on the shores of Superior."

I remember a lot of people going "Oh, he's nothing like my grandparent with Alzhimers they couldn't keep thematic coherence between 2 sentences"

But Biden isn't there, obviously. He's a few years before, when you pass it off as "Senior moments" and "old man mumbling" until something you can't ignore happens.

And controversial take...a president should not be doing that.

I'm not saying he's not senile, but I watched this press conference live, and at the time the outcome of the latest cease fire deal between Hamas and Israel was still up in the air (Israel has since outright rejected it). To me it just seemed like he was very carefully trying to choose his words so as not to tank it. Maybe I'm wrong though, idk. He's had much worse moments.

Lol unless the deal was happening after he started speaking and he wasn’t aware of it, he would’ve come up with some pre-made talking points instead of mumbling to himself. Must’ve had budget cuts at the doublespeak classes
