Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t it the case that most countries that have ridiculous low AOCs actually enforce a higher AOC it just that legal fuckery makes the official on the books AOC stay at a lower age? Like I think the federal AOC in Japan is 13 but apparently most local governments have laws that actually put it more at 17.
Yes though Im not sure if the Philippines was one of them. Also I think the federal age was raised to 18 in japan as well recently.
Was it really that low? Surprised libertarians don't cite that age of consent instead of Japan's.
